This vegan twist on traditional bruschetta combines the sweetness of strawberries with tangy balsamic vinegar and aromatic basil, all piled onto crusty bread. It's a delightful appetizer or snack that bursts with flavor!
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of crusty bread
- 1 cup diced strawberries
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
In a bowl, mix diced strawberries, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, chopped basil, salt, and black pepper
Brush olive oil on both sides of the bread slices
Place bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until lightly toasted
Remove bread from the oven and top each slice with the strawberry mixture
Serve immediately and enjoy!
